Whether you are a recent cosmetology graduate seeking a salon home to build a successful career, or you have a passion for the salon atmosphere and have a desire to be an active part of it, or maybe you have recently stepped away from behind the chair but want to continue your relationship within the industry in a different area.
As an candidate for our Salon Apprentice position, you are responsible for assisting the salon stylist team, working one on one with our guests to provide the best customer experience possible, and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the salon. We are looking for someone who is kindhearted, enthusiastic, personable, friendly, and has strong customer service skills.
We are currently seeking a full-time (a maximum of 5 days) to part-time (a minimum of 3 days) position with growth opportunities. Positions are available at our Downtown Wheaton, Downtown Naperville & The Promenade Bolingbrook locations. After complexion of your first 90 days as a Salon Apprentice, you may be considered as a candidate for our Advanced Education Program that would lead you to a career behind the chair.
JOB REQUIREMENTS; (not limited to)
At least 1 year experience in the salon industry or in beauty school.
Shampooing Clientele before and/or after a haircut or color service.
Maintaining a clean and neat working environment.
Salon and Spa laundry.
Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of responsibilities.
Customer service experience and skills.
Able to work a variety shifts including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Computer literate and ability to operate a point of sale and salon scheduling software.
Strong communication skills.
Problem solving skills and ability to handle customers in difficult situations.
General knowledge of the salon spa & beauty industries.
Professional product training and sales skills.
The ability to multi-task, and thrive in a fast passed environment.
