Job Summary
The Barbershop A Hair Salon For men is seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic leadership team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in various haircutting techniques and services. In addition to providing exceptional hair services, the hairstylist will also engage in retail sales and upselling of products to enhance the client experience. A commitment to sanitation and safety standards is essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
Scheduling – Schedule employees in an efficient manner that assures the salons needs are being met for coverage. Maximum coverage and flexibility between both managers are expected.
Employee handbook – Understand and implement all aspects of “Employee Handbook”.
POS/computer – Accurate usage of all the functions of the POS and office computer. Ability to train new employees on the POS.
Deposits – Maintain a schedule of timely deposits.
Payroll – All reports for payroll are checked and accurate before processing.
Inventory – Maintain an accurate inventory count for both retail and salon supplies.
Retail – Knowledgeable in product lines.
Housekeeping –. Understand, implement, and ensure all state guidelines are being followed.
Education/training – Develop education/training plans as needed for staff.
Monitor staff – Provide support and coaching to your team in all aspects of their job.
Recruiting/interviewing/new hires – Assist in the recruiting process.
Greet customers
Answer phones and update appointment book
Keep your station and the entire salon clean
Salon upkeep during the day such as laundry, towel warmers, straightening the waiting area, etc.
Perform additional duties as directed by owner/administrative team
Deliver The Barbershop Experience to every customer, every visit.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations.
Proficiency in hair cutting, beard trims, waxing, and grey blending.
Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
Knowledge of retail sales
A commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness within the salon environment.
Passion for the beauty industry and a desire for continuous learning and professional development.
Qualities to include strong communication, lead by example, honesty, integrity, empathetic, and supportive.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
