Hairstylist/Cosmetologist Jobs in Greenville, SC at The Woodlands at Furman
Seeking a SC Licensed Cosmetologist who wants to join a team of salon professionals working one to two days a week with our amazing Seniors at The Woodlands of Furman. The Woodlands at Furman is a retirement community offering independent, assisted living, skilled and memory care services.
This independent contractor will be providing hair care for both men and women. This Licensed Cosmetologist should have at least one year experience and a passion for working with older adults. Haircare products (color, perms, shampoo, styling products, and supplies) are the responsibility of the stylist. The stylist will handle all scheduling of appointments and submit weekly billing to management. Must be able to pass a South Carolina state background check and Drug test.
This is an IRS form 1099 Independent Contractor position. Management will determine prices charged to the residents and the stylist will be paid a rate of 70 percent of sales and 100 percent of tips. Stylist will be paid monthly.
Our organization is seeking an experienced Stylist to work closely with our other team members. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in nail care, waxing, coloring, perms, and barber skills. We’re looking for an individual who is professional and detail-oriented – someone who enjoys the fast-paced environment and can multi-task effectively.
Requirements
Valid South Carolina cosmetology license.
Strong skills in hair styling, cutting, and coloring techniques.
Experience with barbering is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
A passion for the beauty industry and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Self-motivated and willingness to help residents recall appointments the day of services.
Must obtain and maintain a general liability insurance policy (but will be reimbursed)
Serve the Facility as an independent contractor
Attend and comply with Yearly DHEC Classes and regulations

Pay: $18.00 – $24.18 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
