Job Description:
We are hiring a stylist for our Aveda Concept Salon.
Small salon with four chairs
Full line of Aveda hair products, skin, and body care
Great staff, great guests – all in all, a fun place to be!
Salon open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 8:00 am to 7:00 pm; Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Saturday – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This position requires 30 hours total on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Additional hours available on Thursday and Friday.
Guaranteed hourly pay until service commission exceeds hourly pay, then switch to commission
Sales commissions earned on Aveda products purchased by your guests
One week vacation pay after one year, two weeks after three years

Requirements:
Graduate of accredited cosmetology school
Current NC Board of Cosmetic Arts license
Experience appreciated, but not a requirement
Professional appearance – dress, hair, makeup – is important
Able to work in a collaborative environment. We are a team.
Enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with co-workers
Good communications skills

Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and preferences.
Perform hair styling services, including cutting, coloring, and styling.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with cosmetology standards.
Educate clients on hair care products and techniques to enhance their experience.
Assist with retail sales and promote salon services effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Commission
Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
