Position Summary:
As a full-time stylist, you will work 35 or more hours per week, typically Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility based on salon needs. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality salon services, recommending retail products, and contributing to a positive and collaborative salon culture. Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and engage all salon guests upon arrival
Deliver professional consultations and personalized service plans
Execute a wide range of salon services including cutting, coloring, and treatments
Recommend and educate clients on retail products to support their goals
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary station
Take before-and-after photos/videos for portfolio and marketing
Participate in booking, scheduling, and checkout processes as needed
Assist with inventory awareness and salon cleanliness standards
Attend a minimum of two educational classes per year to continue professional development
Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut Cosmetology License
At least 2 years of salon experience preferred
Strong technical skills in cutting, color application, and heat styling
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
Dress professionally in accordance with our age-neutral, inclusive style code
Willingness to pursue certification in specialized services (e.g., Brazilian Blowout, K18, hand-tied extensions)
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time (35+ hours/week)
Typical workdays: Tuesday through Saturday
Commission-based compensation with retail commissions and tiered pricing incentives
Paid sick time, PTO accrual, education support, and additional staff perks available

Pay: $18.58 – $19.09 per hour
