Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling and barbering, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for creating stylish looks that enhance our clients’ beauty while ensuring a welcoming and positive salon experience.
Duties
Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling using various techniques and tools.
Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, offering professional advice on styles and products.
Maintain knowledge of current trends in hair styling and color theory to provide clients with the latest looks.
Utilize salon software such as Glossgenius for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Promote retail sales of hair care products to enhance the client experience and meet salon goals.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation and salon environment.
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and customer service skills.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology or barbering license.
Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, and customer service.
Familiarity with salon software systems (experience with GlossGenius is a plus).
Strong understanding of color theory and its application in hair services.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs.
Retail sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
A passion for the beauty industry and a desire to continue learning new techniques.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week

Weekends as needed
