Summary
We have a fun, fast paced, and most importantly, team focused environment. We hire stylists of all experience levels with great attitude, energy, and, of course a willingness to go beyond what is required to complete the client’s experience. As a stylist, you can expect to have one-on-one coaching if necessary, be supported by our marketing team to build clientele, and also will have opportunities to travel to Chicago to take classes at the Aveda Institute of Chicago.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality hair styling services to clients, ensuring satisfaction with each appointment.
Sanitize tools and maintain a clean work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate styles or treatments.
Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hair styling and cosmetology.
Collaborate with team members to share creative ideas and enhance service offerings.
Participate in ongoing training programs to improve skills and knowledge within the beauty industry.
Promote salon products and services to clients, contributing to retail sales efforts.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology license or equivalent certification required.
Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related fields is preferred. We’re also interested in recent or upcoming cosmetology grads.
Strong communication skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of sanitation practices and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
Familiarity with hair extensions, makeup application, or eyelash extensions is a plus.
Retail sales experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
