Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cosmetologist to join our team at our salon, Blo Out Blow Dry Bar located at 1804 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, Pa. As a Cosmetologist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of beauty services to our clients, including hair styling, updo’s, blow outs, bridal styling, haircutting, makeup application and add on services such as treatments, glossing, waxing and more. In addition to your technical skills, excellent communication and customer service abilities as well as being a team player are essential for success in this role.
Duties
– Perform haircuts, hairstyling, and hair treatments
– Apply makeup for special occasions and events
– Sanitize and maintain salon tools and equipment according to state board regulations
– Assist with front desk duties as needed including answering phone and scheduling appts
– Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to clients’ needs and preferences and ensuring excellent customer service at all times
– Offer professional advice on hair care and styling techniques
– Mentor junior cosmetologists and provide guidance on best practices
– Utilize retail math skills to recommend and sell salon products
Requirements
– Valid PA cosmetology license in the state of Pennsylvania
– Proven experience as a Cosmetologist or similar role
– Proficiency in hair cutting, styling, updo’s, blow outs, bridal styling, and makeup application techniques
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, able to stay on task in the required amount of time allotted for client’s appointment
– Knowledge of sanitation and sterilization standards for salon tools and equipment according to PA State Board regulations
