Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and possess excellent communication skills. As a Hair Stylist, you will provide exceptional hair services, including cutting, coloring, and styling, while also engaging in retail sales and upselling products to enhance the client experience. Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY is a plus.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions.
Provide nail care services as needed, ensuring clients receive comprehensive beauty treatments.
Utilize hair threading techniques to meet client preferences and enhance service offerings.
Maintain accurate client records using salon software to track appointments and services rendered.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products for retail sales.
Upsell additional services and products to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue.
Keep the salon environment clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and beauty techniques through ongoing education.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology license required.
Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio of work.
Proficiency in hair extensions application techniques is highly desirable.
Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
Strong retail sales skills with an ability to upsell products effectively.
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
Knowledge of nail care practices is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service standards.
