Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty
- Utilize salon software such as for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing transactions efficiently
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, adhering to health regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide professional advice on hair care and styling options, and upsell suitable products or services
- Stay updated on current trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and barbering to deliver innovative looks
- Manage store operations including client communication, appointment scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology license with comprehensive knowledge of state regulations and sanitation standards
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with proficiency in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), hair care products, and hair extensions
- Familiarity with salon management software for booking and record keeping
- Strong communication skills to connect with clients and understand their desired outcomes
- Passionate about continuous learning in hair care trends, techniques, and product knowledge
