HEAD FASHION DESIGNER -WOMEN’S APPAREL Jobs in Los Angeles at SKIES ARE BLUE
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Import Fashion Designer for women’s apparel to lead the design and development of our seasonal collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong fashion design background, exceptional leadership skills, and extensive experience managing the design process from concept through production.
Qualifications
- Fashion Design degree or graduate of an accredited fashion school
- Minimum 10 years of experience in women’s apparel
- Extensive experience working with factories and vendors in China
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, prints, and trends
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed
- Korean fluency is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal design concepts and collections
- Create inspiration boards, color palettes, and print selections aligned with brand direction
- Research market trends and translate insights into commercial designs
- Oversee the design development process from concept through production
- Manage fittings, design modifications, and product approvals
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, timeline adherence, and cost objectives
- Collaborate with overseas vendors and factories throughout product development
- Lead, mentor, and manage the design team to achieve creative and business goals
Pay: $115,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
