Job Objectives
Heads the Diamonds & Pearls Business Segment (further categorized into Fine, Fashion and Diamond Destination categories), overseeing the entire inhouse brands product portfolio currently available in retail stores all over GCC (UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain).
Role Overview and Responsibilities
Management:
Leading a teams collectively managing the Inhouse brands portfolio, comprised of more than 20 brands; stock and sales analysis, inventory management and optimization, sales forecasts to deliver profits
Regularly conducts qualitative market studies and trends’ analysis through frequent store visits, competitor visits and participation in tradeshows.;
Actively monitor the yearly individual and team KPIs and seek joint opportunities with other stakeholders to achieve business goals,
Identify business challenges and work with relevant stakeholders to improve internal processes and product workflows to anticipate any challenges, if any;
Create and publish Product Memos across multiple stakeholders to serve as reference for future undertakings.
Business Optimization:
Analyze sales and stock data, and implement necessary changes to adopt to immediate gaps and pressing needs brought about by market changes.
Identified and adopted changes to product & category grading, range planning, merchandising and assortment through the geo-customer centric approach, that lead to structured merchandising of jewellery across different store segments.
Assesses sales performance to determine phasing out and discontinuation of the non-performing collections/styles;
Proposes action plans for stock optimization, identifying opportunities forthe re-allocation of goods, markdown proposals and/or product modification/melting;
Leads the quarterly meetings regarding Space Management in stores to better optimize the sales through proper display and allocation of brands per store.
Strategy:
Define and implement product, pricing and go-to-market strategy for the key brands, in line with the company’s overall strategy.
Leads the quarterly Go-To-Market wherein new product directions and launches are presented planned in the next 6-12 months.
The reference and the go-to-person for all jewelry requirements and information by relevant stakeholders (Design, Retail, Marketing, V&M, Learning & Development, Ecommerce & Production.
Leading the full C2C product journey involvement through cross functional liaising with various stakeholders (new product development, sourcing external vendors, delivery and distribution)
In coordination with the L&D team, prepares product launch packs and organizes in depth trainings for the retail team.
Required Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
10 – 12 years extensive experience in retail segments.
