About Studio BlueGreen
Studio BlueGreen is nature’s entertainment studio. We make nature entertaining so people notice it. We create social-first entertainment formats rooted in music, comedy, film, TV and fashion, with a long-term ambition to extend into traditional entertainment platforms. We’re a not-for-profit with big ambitions and a growing team, entering our next chapter.
The role
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Content to lead and evolve the studio’s current strategic direction and grow the Studio BlueGreen brand. You’ll manage a small but growing team, holding responsibility for the annual budget and SBG’s content strategy. You will define how we measure success overall and build strategic partnerships that ensure SBG punches above its weight. You’ll be overseeing the development of original entertainment formats, building IP, exploring distribution, and shaping how nature shows up in popular culture. You need to be as comfortable presenting to the board as giving notes on a rough cut or spotting a trend and sharing ideas with the team. You’ll report
directly to the Founder/CEO.
What you’ll do:
● Set the creative vision, content and commercial strategy across all channels and formats.
● Develop and test original entertainment formats with a long-term focus on broader distribution.
● Lead, grow and mentor the content team.
● Own the annual content budget and set priorities.
● Build and own SBG’s strategic relationships with talent, brands, production companies and entertainment partners.
● Manage external partners, ensuring SBG retains creative control and IP ownership.
● Drive a test-and-learn culture.
● Keep the team connected to culture: what’s trending, what’s funny.
● Ensure every piece of content contributes to an ongoing narrative, not just a moment.
● Measure success and set clear KPIs for the business and team.
What we’re looking for:
● 10+ years in a digital-first entertainment, creator, media or cultural brand environment.
● Proven experience leading and championing small teams with a collaborative, creative approach.
● Experience developing digital entertainment formats and managing IP with proven success on multiple platforms.
● Exceptional communicator. You can partner with a CEO/Founder on creative vision, align a team around it, present strategy to a board and give clear, direct feedback that moves work forward.
● Strong commercial awareness: experience managing budgets, negotiating terms and building partnerships that deliver.
● Strategic thinker with creator instincts. You understand the big picture and know
how to execute, as well as manage others.
● You have built engaged audiences on social media. You know what works and why
● Tapped into culture: music, comedy, film, TV, fashion. You bring ideas, not just react to briefs.
● Excitement for the studio’s vision and a connection to nature.
You’ll thrive if you are:
● A creative leader who sets clear direction but isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
● Comfortable with ambiguity and clear in decision-making, you’re excited by a scale-up that’s built around testing and learning.
● Able to build with limited resources (team and budget).
● Naturally inclusive, collaborative, curious and tapped into culture.
● Recognise the importance of humour and play for creativity. What success looks like after 12 months
● SBG has a clear creative content direction that the team understands and can
execute against.
● Multiple original, digital entertainment formats are in the market with data to show what is and isn’t working, and additional distribution discussions are underway.
● SBG’s community is growing and engaged across priority platforms.
● The SBG team is energised and produces consistently great work.
● Partnerships are in place that extend SBG’s reach and creative capability.
