Head of Retail Jobs in Hoofddorp, North Holland, Netherlands at West Coast Supply Group
Title: Head of Retail
Company: West Coast Supply Group
Location: Hoofddorp, North Holland, Netherlands
Are you ready to lead a dynamic retail division that operates in one of the most unique and fast-paced environments — the cruise industry? We are looking for a strategic, experienced, and hands-on Head of Retail to join our team in Hoofddorp.
This role is not your typical retail leadership position. It’s fully focused on cruise retail — managing operations, brand partnerships, and customer experiences tailored specifically for the cruise market. That’s why experience in the cruise lines business is preferred
As Head of Retail, you’ll take ownership of the performance and direction of our cruise retail operations. Leading a team of 3–5 direct reports, you’ll drive strategy, optimize execution, and ensure we deliver an exceptional retail experience across our cruise partnerships.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and executing retail strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth, particularly within the cruise lines sector.
• Managing brand relationships, supplier contracts, and pricing negotiations.
• Overseeing daily retail operations including sales, marketing, inventory, supply chain, and customer service.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing retail team.
• Managing budgets, sales forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Ensuring a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
• Maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
Who You Are:
• A senior retail professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in retail management, with a successful track record in a leadership role.
• A strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, customer service, and financial management.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience in the cruise lines business is a must — you understand the operational and cultural context of this unique environment.
You bring strong leadership, accountability, entrepreneurial drive, adaptability, and market orientation. You know how to build and empower high-performing teams and engage stakeholders across borders.
