About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and execution-focused Head of Sourcing & Production to lead end-to-end sourcing, vendor management, production planning, and supply chain operations for the brand. We are looking for someone from high-growth D2C startups, preferably from fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, or retail-led consumer brands. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in sourcing, manufacturing, production operations, vendor development, costing, quality control, and supply chain optimization within fast-paced startup environments

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and production operations across categories.
- Develop and manage a strong vendor and manufacturing network across India
- Drive production planning, capacity management, and on-time order fulfillment
- Optimize sourcing costs, margins, lead times, and production efficiency
- Ensure quality standards, compliance, and process improvements across vendors and factories
- Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, category, and planning teams for timely launches and replenishment
- Manage inventory flow, production timelines, and demand forecasting in line with business goals
- Build scalable sourcing and production processes suitable for a fast-growing D2C business
- Negotiate commercial terms, costing, MOQs, and production contracts with suppliers
- Monitor operational KPIs including OTIF, wastage, rejection rates, inventory turns, and vendor performance
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in sourcing, production, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Prior experience in D2C startups or high-growth consumer brands is mandatory.
- Preference for candidates from fashion, jewellery, athleisure, apparel, lifestyle, or retail brands.
- Strong understanding of vendor management, manufacturing processes, fabric/material sourcing, and production planning.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced startup environments with strong ownership and execution capabilities
- Proven track record of scaling sourcing and production operations efficiently.
