Assistant BuyerShowcase is a national retailer with 150 stores across North America, and the Assistant Buyer role is at the heart of the most entrepreneurial, exciting, and fast-paced buying department in retail.
This role involves assisting a Senior Buyer in all buying functions, including:
Making initial contact with new vendors, requesting and inspecting samples, conducting research, and coordinating the submission of quotations
Coordinating with vendors and internal departments such as accounting, store operations, ecommerce, marketing, and training
Administering Purchase Orders, inventory pickups, payments (through our accounting department), shipment follow-ups, and customs documents
Updating SAP, spreadsheets, and other documents with the latest information
Perform daily/routine tasks to support the Senior Buyer, including helping with administrative and logistics aspects of the Buying Department to meet the company goals.
Communicate and maintain product relationships with overseas vendors on a daily basis
Update/monitor inbound shipments and address any supply chain disruptions
The Successful Candidate Will Have
5+ years of successful retail buying administration, buying assistance, or logistics experience
A sense of process and discipline to run a tight ship
Strong written and spoken English
Strong computer skills, especially moderate to advanced Excel for mathematical models, forecasting, and performance analysis
Working day:- 5 day (Sat-Sun off)
Timing:- 3 PM to 1 AM
Location:- Viman Nagar, Pune
