Role Description
This full-time, on-site role is based in the London Area, United Kingdom. As a Home Category Buyer, you will oversee the end-to-end management of the home product category. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, sourcing new products, conducting contract negotiations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales and profitability targets. You will identify opportunities for category expansion, monitor inventory levels, and ensure supplier compliance with quality and cost standards. Driving innovation to meet business goals is a core component of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Category Management and Purchasing
- Proficiency in Supplier Negotiation and Contract Negotiation
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to monitor and optimize category performance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Proven experience in retail buying, preferably within the home products category
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of the UK retail market is an advantage
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
