Position Summary:
Fashion Nova is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People & Culture Generalist (PCG) to support day-to-day HR operations in a dynamic, fast-paced eCommerce environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality administrative and employee support across various HR functions, helping to deliver an exceptional employee experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to I-9 verification, leaves of absence (LOA), benefits, payroll, system access, and badge replacements.
Audit and maintain I-9 compliance, ensuring timely and accurate verification in accordance with DHS regulations.
Provide administrative HR support including document processing, data entry, and record maintenance.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition for all employees.
Support Talent Acquisition by assisting with job fairs, interviewing coordination, new-hire processing, and onboarding events.
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and help organize HR-related events.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies by maintaining accurate documentation and HR records.
Address basic employee relations matters and escalate issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
Track and support LOA administration, ensuring proper communication and timely documentation.
Partner with the broader HR team to identify and implement improvements to internal processes and employee experience.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years in an HR administrative or support role, ideally in a high-volume or fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of HR policies, I-9 requirements, LOA practices, and relevant employment laws.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience using HR systems and databases.
A solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to supporting employees and improving processes.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasional walking through office and warehouse spaces to support HR activities and employee interaction.
Frequent typing, document handling, and system use.
Clear verbal communication via in-person, phone, or virtual meetings.
Occasional light lifting of up to 15 lbs. (e.g., files, small equipment).
Visual and auditory capabilities to effectively review documents and engage in conversations and meetings.
