Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled In-House 3D CAD Jewelry Designer to join our creative team. Duties
- Develop detailed 3D models of jewelry designs using industry-standard CAD software, ensuring precision and craftsmanship.
- Translate initial sketches and conceptual ideas into fully realized digital prototypes, incorporating client feedback and market insights.
- Collaborate with the design team to refine concepts, select appropriate materials, and optimize designs for manufacturing processes.
- Utilize graphic design illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create presentation boards, technical drawings, and visualizations that communicate design intent clearly.
- Apply knowledge of color theory, textiles in industrial design, and fashion styling to enhance jewelry aesthetics and ensure cohesive collection development.
- Conduct cross-functional communication with manufacturing, marketing, and merchandising teams to align design specifications with production capabilities and brand standards.
- Stay current with industry trends in fashion design, graphic design software, 3D modeling software, and product lifecycle management to continuously elevate design quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in professional art or design roles with a strong portfolio showcasing jewelry or accessory designs.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar programs tailored for jewelry CAD design.
- Skilled in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) for illustration and presentation purposes.
- Knowledge of garment construction principles, sewing techniques, textile applications, and merchandising is a plus.
- Ability to develop artistic concepts from initial sketches through detailed digital renderings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments and present ideas clearly.
- Familiarity with fashion styling, theater experience or illustration is advantageous for inspiring innovative designs.
- Experience with sewing machines or garment construction can provide additional insight into wearable comfort and functionality.
