Position Overview:
The Inventory Planner will play a critical role in managing inventory levels, optimizing stock availability, and supporting the efficient flow of goods throughout the supply chain. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time, helping to meet customer demand and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee the flow of inventory to ensure optimal stock levels that meet demand while minimizing stock outs and overstock situations.
Support the coordination of product shipments, transfers, and replenishments.
Monitor and maintain accurate stock records, ensuring data integrity in inventory systems.
Assist in generating and maintaining short- and long-term supply plans.
Support the planning of limited editions, new product launches, and promotional events.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare and update inventory reports to track stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory performance.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to management.
Participate in inventory reconciliation processes and support cost analysis.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams to align on inventory requirements and commercial priorities.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to support the overall supply chain strategy.
Support ongoing communication with global teams to ensure alignment on stock availability.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and support the implementation of best practices.
Assist in developing and maintaining inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or logistics is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and SAP is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data trends and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive mindset.
Fluency in English is required; Spanish and/or Italian is a plus.
