Company Overview
We are an AI-driven fashion technology startup building a next-generation clothing customization platform.
Our product allows users to scan their bodies using mobile devices, generate structured body measurement data, and order custom-fitted apparel through an AI-powered workflow.
We are currently in the MVP stage, building the product from 0 to 1. You will work closely with the founding team, iOS engineer, and AWS/backend engineer to help build and ship the core product experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for an iOS / full-stack engineer who can help us connect the mobile app, backend APIs, AWS cloud services, and measurement data pipeline.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong iOS development experience and is comfortable working with backend APIs, cloud services, and structured JSON data.
You do not need to be an expert in every area, but you should be able to work independently, debug across the stack, and help move an MVP quickly from prototype to usable product.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI
Integrate the iOS app with backend APIs built with FastAPI, AWS Lambda, or similar technologies
Work with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, Lambda, and related cloud infrastructure
Handle upload, storage, and retrieval of user scan data, images, and body measurement data
Design and interact with database structures using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases
Manage structured and semi-structured data, including body measurement data in JSON format
Ensure reliable data flow between mobile app, backend services, cloud storage, and database
Debug and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and cloud layers
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and AI-related team members to rapidly iterate MVP features
Required Qualifications
Experience building iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI
Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS S3, Lambda, API Gateway, or equivalent services
Basic understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
Ability to work with JSON data structures and API payloads
Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot issues across app, API, and cloud layers
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup or MVP environment
Comfortable with rapid iteration, incomplete requirements, and practical engineering tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with backend development using Python, FastAPI, Node.js, or similar frameworks
Experience with AI/ML APIs, computer vision, body scanning, image processing, or 3D data workflows
Experience building MVPs or working in early-stage startups
Experience with authentication, user accounts, secure file uploads, or payment/order flows
Familiarity with deployment, logging, monitoring, and cloud debugging
Experience with fashion, e-commerce, apparel sizing, or customization platforms is a plus
What You Will Work On
Depending on your background, you may help with:
Building the iOS body scan and upload flow
Connecting scan results to backend processing APIs
Storing images and measurement files in AWS S3
Structuring body measurement data in JSON and database tables
Building API flows for user profiles, body data, garment customization, and orders
Improving reliability between mobile app, backend, and cloud infrastructure
Supporting MVP launch and fast product iteration
