Responsibilities
- Cut, shape, assemble, and polish jewelry components with meticulous attention to detail
- Interpret design sketches and technical drawings to produce high-quality jewelry pieces
- Use specialized tools and equipment to set stones, engrave, and perform intricate detailing
- Collaborate with designers and clients to develop custom jewelry pieces that meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet design specifications and standards
- Stay updated on the latest jewelry trends, techniques, and industry best practices
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of jewelry making techniques including setting, soldering, polishing, and engraving
- Strong understanding of digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Proficiency in art direction, visual design principles, typography, and graphic design concepts
- Experience with photography and digital art to showcase jewelry pieces effectively
- Familiarity with CAD software like Rhino or Matrix for designing detailed 3D models of jewelry
- Ability to work with motion graphics or 2D/3D animation tools such as Maya or After Effects for promotional content
- Knowledge of layout design, print advertising production, interior design elements related to display setups
- Skills in web design (HTML/CSS) for online portfolio management or e-commerce integration
- Understanding of color theory and print production processes such as screen printing or production design
