Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cosmetologist or Barber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of beauty treatments and services. As a Cosmetologist, you will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring clients receive top-notch care and attention. Your expertise in various beauty techniques, along with your ability to manage client relationships and promote services through social media, will be key to your success in this role. This is a commission based role with the opportunity to earn a higher commission based on performance.
Duties
Perform a variety of cosmetology services including hair styling, cuts, and chemical services.
Following safety and health protocols in accordance with the Louisiana cosmetology board
Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and recommending appropriate services.
Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and retention.
Engage in social media to promote services, share client transformations, and enhance the salon’s online presence.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
Assist in sales by promoting products and services that align with client needs.
Foster a welcoming atmosphere that reflects hospitality and professionalism.
Experience
Proven experience as a Cosmetologist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
Familiarity with Millennium software for scheduling and client management is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Experience in sales techniques relevant to the beauty industry is advantageous.
Ability to manage social media platforms effectively to engage clients and promote services.
A valid cosmetology or barber license is required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.29 – $22.70 per hour
