Position Summary:
The Jr. Planner will support the Wholesale businesses, reporting directly into the Sr. Planning Manager. This role leverages planning and allocation activities to maximize sales and inventory turn. This person will analytically and strategically support store planning efforts with a particular focus on optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment, and planning review with the aim to constantly optimize the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting with the planning, replenishment and inventory management in order to guarantee targets are met in sales and sell through
- Manage and execute daily/weekly/monthly reporting
- Support in Pre/In/Post seasonal analysis to identify successes and opportunities
- Participate in weekly/monthly meetings to identify risks and opportunities in the business
- Develop and implement structure for flow of product in and out of distribution warehouse
- Drive product performance analysis to identify business opportunities to maximize the inventory efficiency across retail and wholesale channels
- Track inbound/outbound merchandise, while liaising with Logistics to ensure timely shipping and prioritization
- Help to ensure the most profitable decisions are taken on assortments, by maximizing owned inventory, monitoring receipt flow, stock rotation and sell through.
- Maintain strong relationships with Store Managers on inventory/replenishment, current business trends, as well as opportunities to proactively drive future business.
- Actioning monthly store transfers for slower moving styles to improve style sell through % and maximize store stock levels
- Partner with Buying on new store opening assortments, while managing replenishment for all current operating retail stores to hit sales plans
- Identify and propose new ideas that drive the business or improve efficiencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-3 years of retail planning experience with merchandising, planning, forecasting and allocation retail environment
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office and Excel (proficiency with Macros preferred)
- Ability to self-manage and deliver while working with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and highly organized with the ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities
- Articulate with excellent communication style – Dynamic, confident and enthusiastic
- Experience with SAP systems, BI reporting tools and retail replenishment tools a plus
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 – $74,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
