Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Junior Buyer role based in the Greater Sydney Area, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The Junior Buyer will support the buying team with day-to-day product selection, range planning, and order placement across core and seasonal collections. Responsibilities include assisting with trend research, analyzing sales performance and stock levels, and helping to identify gaps and opportunities in the product assortment. The role will liaise with suppliers to request quotes, samples, and product information, and to track purchase orders and delivery timelines. The Junior Buyer will also support sample management, prepare product information for internal teams, and collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and e-commerce to ensure cohesive and commercially strong ranges.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in fashion buying, merchandising, or retail, ideally within apparel or accessories.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently in spreadsheets, interpret sales reports, and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in managing orders, samples, and product information.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset, curiosity about fashion trends, and willingness to learn from senior buyers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace; experience with retail or inventory management systems is an advantage.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in fashion, business, merchandising, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia and ability to attend the office in the Greater Sydney Area on designated days.
