Hours: Full time, 8.30am – 5pm.
This role will support the Buying Team, and is a demanding fast paced role which requires the successful candidate to be extremely organised.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
· Working closely with the Head of Procurement to ensure the smooth running of the buying department.
· Email and liaise with suppliers daily.
· Raising purchase orders and placing orders with suppliers in the UK, Europe, and Far East
· Raising and accurately processing a large number of Purchase Orders for many customers.
· Confirming Proforma’s and order confirmations
· Work with the Sales and Design teams to ensure suppliers have all the necessary information for planned orders, to enable production and deliveries to progress efficiently.
· Manage and maintain department critical paths, involving chasing relevant suppliers and communicating any changes to the relevant team.
· Identify and communicate any potential disruptions.
· Plan and arrange deliveries from port to warehouse and to ensure timely arrivals.
· Monitoring deliveries, following the goods through Customs clearance.
· Manage and maintain shipping and product trackers.
· Checking artwork to ensure agreement with ingredient lists and safety data sheets.
· Management of samples
Skills, experience & requirements:
· 3+ Years experience
· A passion and interest in Buying, with keen desire to develop a career in this area.
· Strong IT skills, in particular Excel and other MS Office applications
· Team player and with communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
