At & Other Stories, we are looking for a Junior Designer who is excited to contribute to a brand that celebrates self-expression and femininity through fashion. You will play an essential role in bringing our collections to life while ensuring that creativity and business acumen go hand in hand.
As a Junior Designer at & Other Stories, you will be a key player in supporting the Product Designer throughout the design process, from concept to final adjustments. Your role will involve ensuring that our designs stay aligned with our brand’s feminine aesthetic and creating products that resonate with our customers. You’ll work closely with the design, buying and pattern teams, especially during fittings, taking notes and adjusting sketches based on feedback to perfect the fit and style of each product.
What You Will Do:
Assist the Product Designer in designing and developing the collection, ensuring the final designs reflect the brand’s feminine aesthetic and are commercially viable
Actively participate in fittings, taking detailed notes and updating designs to incorporate feedback for the perfect fit
Create technical files and update sketches for production, ensuring designs are ready for the next steps in the process
Maintain up-to-date design materials, color charts, and overviews, ensuring consistency throughout the collection
Contribute to the creation of print designs, managing color palettes and artwork adjustments in Adobe Illustrator
Stay on top of fashion trends and market insights to predict customer desires and design future collections
Collaborate with the design team and other departments to ensure smooth execution and consistency across all touchpoints
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed:
A design degree with a strong passion for feminine fashion, creativity, and design – preferably with some industry experience, particularly in premium clothing
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with experience in print artwork creation and color management
A sharp eye for trends and the understanding of how design and creativity impact sales and profitability
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently share ideas and collaborate across teams
Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while asking for help when needed
Creative, adaptable, and driven – always ready to bring fresh ideas and tackle design challenges with enthusiasm
Knowledge of the product development process, including fabric, materials, trims, and patternmaking, is a plus
Additional Information
This is a full time temporary contract during 11 months based at our Head Office in Kungsholmen, Stockholm.
