Junior Rug Designer and Showroom Salesperson
Design Responsibilities:
Creating Design Mockups: Producing digital or hand-drawn mockups and prototypes of rug designs for review and feedback.
Color and Material Selection: Assisting in the selection of colors, materials, and textures for rug designs, considering factors like durability and aesthetic appeal.
Technical Drawings: Producing technical drawings and specifications to communicate design details to manufacturers.
Communicating with Suppliers: Liaising with rug manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that designs are produced according to specifications and quality standards.
Quality Control: Participating in quality control processes to ensure that finished rugs meet design specifications and expectations.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of design iterations, specifications, and communication with suppliers.
Design Skills and Qualifications:
Creative Design Skills: Proficiency in sketching, drawing, and conceptualizing rug designs in Adobe Illustrator Software.
Proficiency: Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or design-specific programs like CAD for technical drawings.
Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail in design specifications and quality control processes.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and suppliers.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new design trends, techniques, and software tools.
Sales Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement: Greeting customers as they enter the showroom, engaging them in conversation, and actively listening to their needs and preferences.
Product Knowledge: Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the high-end products available in the showroom, including their features, benefits, and specifications.
Consultative Selling: Using a consultative approach to understand customers’ requirements and preferences, and recommending products that best meet their needs.
Building Relationships: Building rapport with customers to establish trust and long-term relationships, fostering customer loyalty and repeat business.
Handling Inquiries: Responding to customer inquiries, providing accurate information about products, pricing, and availability.
Closing Sales: Effectively closing sales by addressing customer concerns, overcoming objections, and guiding them through the purchasing process.
Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products or accessories to enhance the customer’s experience.
Maintaining Showroom Appearance: Ensuring that the showroom is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing to create a positive impression on customers.
Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative tasks such as processing sales transactions, updating customer records, and maintaining inventory levels.
Meeting Sales Targets: Working towards achieving individual and team sales targets and contributing to the overall success of the showroom.
Teamwork: working with manager and the rest of the team to make sure all client needs are being met in a timely fashion.
