The Role: We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our creative vision and the final product, ensuring that raw materials are sourced efficiently and production timelines are met without ever compromising on our rigorous quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Assist in sourcing high-quality fabrics, trims, and hardware according to seasonal design requirements and specific technical parameters (e.g., fabric weights, weaves, and structural yarns).
  • Build and maintain reliable relationships with local suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers.
  • Request, organize, and catalog fabric swatches and material samples for the design team.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing and minimum order quantities (MOQs) to align with budget targets.

Merchandising & Product Development

  • Help prepare and distribute clear, accurate tech packs and purchase orders to vendors.
  • Track the lifecycle of samples from initial prototype to final approval, ensuring all construction notes and fit corrections are implemented.
  • Maintain an up-to-date material and trim inventory log for upcoming collections.

Production Tracking & Quality Control

  • Monitor daily production schedules to ensure all manufacturing orders are on track for timely delivery.
  • Conduct basic quality assurance checks on incoming samples and finished goods, verifying that stitching, measurements, and finishing meet Mohtaram’s premium standards.
  • Flag any potential delays or quality issues to management immediately and help coordinate solutions.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in fashion merchandising, sourcing, or apparel production (internships count).
  • A foundational understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple orders and timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for tracking inventory and production schedules.
  • A keen eye for detail and a genuine appreciation for high-quality menswear and finishing.
