Our rapidly growing wholesale home accessories client, is seeking a driven junior product development manager to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Work with the Product Development team to come up with innovative ideas in increase sales
Track project updates and ensure progress is on schedule
Follow projects from inception to completion
Take ownership in extensive market research, prototyping, testing, and finally creation
Conduct and communicate trend forecasting and research
Upkeep data entry into portals and systems, including style set-up
Create New Item Set-Up Forms
Update Manager on project progress, sample statuses and outstanding tasks
Ensure accuracy on multiple projects that is used by cross-functional partners
Manage the sample approval process including unpacking, tracking, tagging samples
Provide recommendations on areas to improve for materials and design
Maintain, track and organize incoming and outgoing samples and statuses
Consistent daily communication with overseas factories
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Product Development and/or Design is a plus.
Relevant learning or working experience in the field
Must have working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Keen and creative eye
Must be organized and extremely detail-oriented
Must be a team player with a positive outlook
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be a self starter
Genuine passion for product and a spirit of ownership to see through a successful end product
