ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Jr. Sales Assistant to support the Madison Home Ceramics team. You’ll learn how products go from development, to buyer, to purchase order, and you’ll work directly with our sales, production, and overseas sourcing teams. You will be responsible for:
• Prepare line sheets, quote sheets, and presentations for buyer meetings
• Manage samples— requesting, tracking, labeling, and organizing the showroom
• Enter and track orders and purchase orders; follow up on open items
• Coordinate with overseas sourcing and production teams on status, approvals, and shipping
• Keep buyer records, trackers, and project boards accurate and up to date
• Support meeting prep and follow-up so nothing falls through the cracks
• Handle general account and sales admin as needed
• Perform related duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
· Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new tools quickly
· Able to juggle many moving parts and keep them all on track
· Clear, responsive communicator with strong follow-through
· Comfortable coordinating with overseas teams across time zones
· Eager to learn the wholesale and off-price business
· Interest in home goods, tabletops, or decor is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales or equivalent, with wholesale imports or related experience; or an Associate’s degree with 2 year of wholesale imports or related experience; or 3+ years sales experience
