KYC Maker and checker
Role Overview:
As a KYC Maker and Checker, responsible for ensuring that all KYC processes for business banking clients comply with regulatory standards and internal policies. The role is divided into two key functions:
KYC Maker:
Handles client onboarding, collects and validates KYC documentation, conducts due diligence checks (e.g., sanctions, PEP), and inputs data into the system.
KYC Checker:
Reviews and verifies KYC data for completeness and compliance, performs enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients, and ensures adherence to AML/KYC regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
KYC Maker:
Collect and verify client documentation during onboarding.
Conduct initial due diligence checks.
Input KYC data accurately into systems.
Assess client risk profiles.
KYC Checker:
Review and validate KYC documentation submitted by the Maker. Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients. Approve or reject client onboarding based on KYC review.
