Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Braider who specializes in Afro-textured hair to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of braiding techniques and styles, providing exceptional service and artistry to our clients. As a Braider at Petra’s Beauty Club, you will play a crucial role in helping clients achieve their desired looks while promoting healthy hair practices.
Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of braiding styles, including box braids, cornrows, Senegalese twists, knotless braids, and more
Provide consultations to clients to determine their braiding needs and desired outcomes
Educate clients on proper hair care and maintenance for braided styles
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and tools
Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in braiding and natural hair styling
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
Participate in salon events and community outreach as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Braider, specializing in Afro-textured hair
In-depth knowledge of various braiding techniques and styles
Strong understanding of different hair types and textures, particularly natural and textured hair
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
Passion for Black beauty and culture
State cosmetology or braiding license
