Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Visual Associate located in San Mateo, CA. The Lead Visual Associate will create visually engaging in-store presentations to reflect the West Elm brand. Responsibilities include executing merchandising plans, setting up displays, coordinating seasonal updates, and ensuring store layout aligns with company standards. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, supporting store operations, and maintaining a visually compelling shopping environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in visual merchandising, store design, and styling within a retail or similar environment
- Strong creativity and innovation skills to design compelling displays and inspire customers
- Solid communication and leadership skills to train and support team members
- Ability to adapt to shifts in priorities while maintaining attention to detail and time management
- Knowledge of home décor, interior design trends, and customer engagement strategies
- Physical ability to move merchandise and execute store sets, as needed
- High school diploma required; a degree in Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in a leadership or team lead role is an advantage
