We are currently seeking a hardworking, reliable, passionate_ licensed cosmetologist or barber _as a Co-Manager in our Oshkosh Location! If you are qualified, we’d love to hear from you!
Who are we?
The Barbershop A Hair Salon for Men was founded in 2005 by a local family who are involved on a regular basis. Our focus is strong communication from our stylists and barbers to the leadership team, support team and owners. We have an open-door policy 100% of time.
It is our mission to provide a top-notch service and quality and an unbeatable value in an excellent atmosphere. We take pride in our trade, and it shows.

What services do we provide?
– Our all-inclusive haircut service includes a personalized haircut, shampoo & condition, hot towel, eyebrow & mustache trim, and shoulder massage.
– We also offer beard trims, foil shaver, grey blending, and waxing.
-We also offer razor fades, beard and face line ups, as well as razor neck shaves. We have an established straight razor training program customized to your training needs.
The salon managers report to the owners or general manager. Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the salon. Managers are expected to work an average of 70 hours per pay period.
Primary job functions:
Scheduling – Schedule employees in an economical and efficient manner that assures the salons needs are being met for coverage that ensures maximum customer flow. Maximum coverage and flexiblilty between both managers is expected.
Employee handbook – Understand all aspects of “Employee Handbook”. Assures that rules, policies & expectations are followed by all. Document all incidents (injury, attitude, late/tardy/absent, customer redos/complaints, etc.). Place documentation in employee file & notify the owners or general manager.
POS/computer – Knowledge and understanding of the POS and office computer usage. Ability to train new employees on usage.
Deposits – Maintain a schedule of timely deposits. Responsible to ensure that deposits match the deposit slip generated by the POS.
Payroll – All reports for payroll are checked and accurate before processing.
Inventory – Maintain an accurate inventory count for both retail and salon supplies. Our goal is to operate our inventory levels “lean” to keep costs of carrying excess inventory down.
Retail – Sales & expert knowledge of retail line.
Housekeeping – Devise a plan/schedule/system whereby the entire salon is kept in pristine condition. Understand, implement, and ensure all state guidelines are being followed.
Education/training – Develop education/training plans as needed for salon or specific staff.
Monitor staff – Ensure that each team member delivers great customer service and the entire service. Skills, breaks, lunches, team work, customer service, housekeeping, educational/training needs.
Recruiting/interviewing/new hires – Assist in the recruiting process. Conduct interviews. On board new hires including processing of paperwork and routing of paperwork for new hires to accounting.
Greet customers
Answer phones and update appointment book
Understand and adhere to all aspects of the Appointment Book Procedure
Keep your station and the entire salon clean
Adhere to all state regulations regarding sanitation and cleanliness
Accurate usage of the POS system including “time clock”, handling of cash, and customer records
Salon upkeep during the day such as laundry, towel warmers, straightening the waiting area, etc.
Perform additional duties as directed by owner/administrative team
Deliver The Barbershop Experience to every customer, every visit.
