JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re expanding our team! Root 7 Salon is currently hiring Hairstylists committed to quality, innovative hair cutting & coloring services and excellent customer experience. Two booths are available for commission or rental opportunities. A private room is also available for rental. *These positions are ONLY open to licensed hairstylists with a clientele following.*
HAIRSTYLIST RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult with clients on their hair needs, preferences, and expectations.
Provide hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling.
Ensure excellent customer service by building rapport with clients; actively listening to their wishes while delivering the best quality end result; and offering a nurturing, confidence-boosting salon experience.
Recommend hair care products and treatments.
Advise clients on hair care and maintenance.
Keep workstations and supplies clean and sanitized.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques through training and workshops.
Occasionally assist in checkout, answering phones, scheduling, or cleaning if our receptionist + shampoo tech is unavailable.
QUALIFICATIONS
A clientele following is required.
A cosmetology license is required.
At least 3-5 years of experience as a hairstylist.
Proficiency in cutting, styling, coloring, and treating hair.
Creativity and artistic flair in hairstyling.
Up-to-date with industry trends and techniques.
Exceptional customer service skills.
A positive attitude and team player.
Empathy, compassion, and a strong sense of genuine kindness!
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor.
Flexibility to work on Saturdays.
