RESPONSIBILITIES
· Converse with clients to better understand their requirements and make suggestions for improving their appearance
· Cut, color and style hair
· Apply make-up creating a variety of different looks according to the requests of the client
· Apply and promote retail beauty products or additional services
· Keep documentation and maintain client’s files
· Maintain equipment and tools when appropriate
· Comply with health and safety regulations
REQUIREMENTS
· Proven experience as a cosmetologist preferred
· Working knowledge of all aspects of cosmetology and best practices
· Up to date with fashion and beauty trends
· Great physical stamina
· Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
· User level computer skills
· High school diploma and a successful completion of a cosmetology school is a must
· Fluent with English language
· Availability on weekends and holidays preferred
· New York State Cosmetology License required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
