Hair Stylist Job Description
Senior Salon Services has an immediate opening for a part-time Hair Stylist to join our team.
One day a week either Thursday or Friday.
We are looking to hire stylists to work in our senior community beauty salons.
If you love to work with elders and work at your own pace, this position is for you…and no nights and no weekends!
Hair Stylist Duties and Responsibilities:
Give clients advice on how to maintain a hairstyle or look
* Complete invoices each day to show the work you performed
Maintain supplies needed for hair styling
Hair Stylists Skills and Qualifications:
NY Cosmetology License is required
At least 5 years experience
Experience using different types of scissors, trimmers and other tools to create hairstyles
Must be able to do all types of hair. Services include: cuts, styles, sets, curls, perms, colors, etc.
An understanding of the different types of hairstyles a person can request and how to achieve those looks
The ability to communicate with customers and understand a look they want, even if they don’t know the technical terms for a certain style
Additional Perks:
Supplies are provided with the exception of scissors and electrical equipment
