Live Shopping Host – Fashion, Fragrance & Designer [Part-Time] Jobs in Oceanside at Capital Distribution (Central Hype)

About the Role
We are looking for a confident, energetic, and sales-driven on-camera host to join our live shopping team.
This is a part-time role focused on hosting auction-style live shopping shows featuring fashion, fragrance, designer clothing, sneakers, accessories, streetwear, jewelry, and trending products. Customers watch, interact, ask questions, bid, and buy products in real time while you present and sell items live on camera.
This role can be a great fit for someone with a school schedule, another part-time job, retail schedule, or current live-stream/showroom experience who is looking for additional consistent shifts and a bigger opportunity in live commerce.
You do not need to be an influencer or have a large following. We are looking for someone who is confident on camera, comfortable selling, coachable, reliable, and able to bring strong energy to a live audience.
Because this is an on-camera role, candidates should have polished, camera-ready presentation and be comfortable representing products live on video.
Long-Term Part-Time Availability Required
This is a part-time role, but it is not a short-term temporary position. Training can take several weeks, so we are looking for candidates who can commit to a consistent schedule beyond just a few weeks.
Applicants must be available at least 2 days per week, for at least 4 hours per shift.
More hours may be available for the right person. Depending on availability and performance, this role can grow into 3–5+ shifts per week.
Potential shifts may include:
- Afternoon live shopping shifts
- Evening live shopping shifts
- Sunday stream opportunities
Typical afternoon shifts may be around 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM, with the actual live stream usually taking place during the shift. Evening shifts and Sunday shifts may also be available and can offer stronger audience timing, more flexibility, and higher-tier inventory opportunities.

What You’ll Do
- Host auction-style live shopping shows on camera
- Present and sell products clearly and confidently
- Engage with viewers in real time
- Create excitement, urgency, and trust around products
- Learn product details, pricing, brands, sizing, condition, and selling points
- Help prep products before the live show so you understand what you are selling
- Work with the team during the stream to keep the show organized and moving
- Tag, sort, and help wrap up sold/unsold items after the stream
- Take feedback and improve your hosting/sales style over time
Who We’re Looking For
- Comfortable speaking on camera for 1–3+ hours
- At least basic sales, retail, customer-facing, or product-selling experience
- Strong personality and natural communication skills
- Polished, camera-ready presentation suitable for a live shopping role
- Strong personal style or interest in fashion, fragrance, designer clothing, sneakers, accessories, streetwear, jewelry, or social media
- Comfortable with auction-style selling, creating urgency, and talking through products live
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent
- Coachable and able to take constructive feedback
- Able to keep energy up during a live show
- Comfortable learning products quickly
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Important
This is a sales role. We are willing to train the right person on our products, platforms, and live selling process, but applicants should already have some comfort talking to customers, selling products, or presenting confidently.
This is also an on-camera role, so presentation, energy, communication, and professionalism matter. We are looking for someone who can represent products well, connect with viewers, and create a fun but trustworthy shopping experience.
You must be open to feedback. We are looking for someone who wants to improve, learn the business, and become stronger on camera over time.
Pay / Growth
Starting pay is based on experience, camera presence, product knowledge, sales ability, and overall fit for the role.
Strong performers may be eligible for higher hourly pay, performance bonuses, commission opportunities, bonus inventory opportunities, and additional stream opportunities as they prove themselves.
Local Candidates Preferred
This is an in-person role based in Oceanside, NY. Reliable commuting is very important. Candidates should be local or have a dependable commute for consistent in-person shifts.
