Job Title:

Logistics Customer Service Manager

Summary:

As a Logistics Customer Service Manager, you will shape the way that Bleckmann communicates to their customers, and how our customers communicate to operations. To ensure that we are providing the best possible customer service you will lead the transportation, waving and customer service teams. Your leadership will drive the success of our relationship with customers, and the efficiency of the operations.

Overview Primary Job Functions

· Identify, develop, and evaluate current customer service strategy using warehouse management systems, customer SLA’s (service level agreement) and operations processes.

· Coordinate communications to customers working with the customer service department and operations team to ensure compliance with SLA.

· Formulate, direct and coordinate operations activities and processes to promote compliance with customers SLA and customer satisfaction.

· Use warehouse management system and strategic planning to ensure that forecasts are being met, and that there is adequate KPIs in place.

· Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of the customer service staff and logistics support staff. Including overseeing their daily activities. (20% of time)

· Coordinate the wave team (triggering tasks in the system to generate work for the warehouse). (15% of time)

· Manage and coordinate the domestic transportation team and activities, ensuring compliance with SLA and, state legislation. (25% of time)

People Management:

Provides on-going training and orientations for subordinates to ensure compliance with Company requirements and policies.

Recommend personnel actions (hire/fire/promotions/increases).

Use well documented corrective disciplinary measures in a timely manner as applicable.

Ensure direct and indirect reports receive frequent feedback on performance, including an assessment of performance in the first 90 days and a formal performance review on an annual basis thereafter.

Maintain an environment of development and recognition.

Coordinate scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive and distribute products/materials at the facility in a productive and cost-effective manner. Monitor attendance, tardin…
