Position Summary
The Loss Prevention Investigator is a key role responsible for minimizing financial losses by ensuring strong security measures, preventing theft, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the Distribution Center (DC) and Headquarters. The Investigator works closely with supervisors and managers to support the efficient operation of loss prevention initiatives, provide leadership in security matters, and ensure compliance with company policies. This position requires strong observational skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities to maintain a secure and safe work environment.
Essential Functions
Loss Prevention Investigators may work across various departments based on business needs. Shifts can include early starts, late finishes, weekends, and overtime during peak periods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monitor daily security operations, ensuring compliance with safety and loss prevention standards.

Assist department supervisors in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities within the facility.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to employees regarding security protocols and best practices.

Ensure company safety regulations and compliance measures are consistently followed by leading by example.

Communicate security updates, incident reports, and investigative findings to leadership in a timely and accurate manner.

Promote and enforce adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures, ensuring all team members follow best practices.

Maintain a secure and organized work environment and assist with compliance monitoring.

Foster a culture of security awareness and collaboration with supervisors and managers.
Education & Experience Requirements

Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Two to three years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent education and work experience, with at least one year in a safety, loss prevention, or security-related role.

Experience using CCTV surveillance systems (experience with multiple CCTV configurations and vendors, including NEST, is highly desired).

Prior experience conducting or assisting in loss prevention interviews or interrogations is a plus.

Wicklander-Zulawski certification is highly desired.
