Responsibilities
Understand requirements from a visualand technical standpoint
Determine the correctmaterial and application according to lighting, settingetc.
Apply simple and complex makeup asrequired
Use FX prosthetics to create thedesired special effects
Do appropriatehairstyling to complement makeup
Assist inappropriate removing of makeup andprosthetics
Collaborate with crew members(costume designers, production assistantsetc.)Select the best material (cosmetics andtools) and create budgets to purchase
Clean andmaintain makeup applicators and tools
Requirements
Proven experience as a makeupartist
Knowledge of makeup and hairdressingtechniques
Experience in prosthetics andspecial effects is a plus Technicalunderstanding of lighting, photography, styles, dramatizationetc.
Ability to
balance quality and budgetrestraints
Understanding of health and safetyrules
