About the Role

The Manager of Salon Professional Curriculum Development will lead conceptualization, development and execution of education curriculum and related materials to help drive product sales via digital, virtual, and live programming.

What You’ll Do

Curriculum Creation & Management (80%)

Develop strategy and creation for all professional education curriculum
Lead collaborative process to create system-based technical content for haircutting, color, style, texture, barbering and salon/barber business content.
Deliver programming for digital platforms (including eLearning, pro website, social) educator training, in-market education, chain education and Advanced Academy programs.
Develop training content to support product knowledge programming.
Create and maintain ongoing education materials to support website, eLearning platform, classes and workshops.
Serve as point person with Paul Mitchell Schools (PMAE) to ensure consistency in universal content.

Events/Trainings/Shoots (20%)

Collaborate with Director of Education and/or Artistic Directors to create content for PM shows and events, i.e., MORPH, Key Account Classes & Workshop, Educator Training, International Events.
Travel to occasional shows and events to support AD’s with new curriculum implementation.
Participate in occasional photo/video shoots to capture and organize technical content for use in curriculum.

What You’ll Need

Skills:

Must be an excellent communicator, natural leader, team player.
Creative & self-starting individual; must be agile and able to multitask, manage complexity and problem solve on the fly and can personally organize and set priorities.
Expert knowledge of developing professional facing content for hair color, cutting, styling, texture, and barbering.
Development of content to address various audiences in both live and digital delivery formats.
Experience leading creative artists, stylists, and cross functional teams to meet deadlines.
Strategic thinker with examples of solving problems and taking initiative.
Outstanding team player able to work collaboratively with all internal & external partners.
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to embrace and facilitate change.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Canva, Zoom.
Demonstrates a strong work ethic, high integrity, and commitment to excellence.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
Cosmetology, barber license and/or teaching credentials a plus.

Experience:

5+ years of experience within brand/ product education, marketing, or sales in professional beauty required.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000/year depending on experience.
