Libas Textiles Ltd. (A 100% Knit Garments Factory) is looking for Manager / Sr. Manager (Fabric & R&D)
Job Description / Responsibility
- Strong presentation skills. Producing designs and samples for presentation to buyer.
- Making up sets of sample designs liaising with clients and technical, marketing and buying staff to plan and develop designs.
- Using updated software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs to develop a range of designs to experiment with color, fabric and texture.
- Review and maintains the department fabric library to ensure this is kept up to date.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Production.
- Analyze and assess fabric needs, based on Design's, Seasonal direction and Trends.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology.
- Developing new design concepts ensuring that projects are completed on time as well.
- Attending trade shows as an exhibitor – this may involve representing the company with a display or stand, or appraising the work of competitors.
- Keeping up to date and spotting fashion trends in fabric design by reading forecasts in trade magazines and using internet resources to develop a network of business contacts.
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, detail oriented, with strong follow through.
- Deep understanding of raw material development and cost engineering.
- Excellent technical knowledge of yarn and performance fabrications.
- Experience with raw material and garment testing.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the overall R&D & Fashion Designing related activities of the Factory effectively & efficiently.
- Any other related work assigns by Management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Design
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology
- Any type of degree in Textile Design, or Material Science will get additional preferences.
Experience Requirements
- At least 6 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Garments,Textile
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must have an experience in R&D and Fashion Design in a Textile Factory.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal & high-level communication skills (both English & Bangla) are required.
