Role Description: Miaou is looking for a storyteller. The Marketing & E-Commerce Director leads marketing across the full funnel — brand, content, social, influencer, and performance — while owning the performance of our digital business. This person understands that every touchpoint, from a campaign to a product page to an abandoned-cart email, is a chance to tell Miaou's story. They know how to build a world around a brand, protect its identity, and translate that identity into demand, community, and revenue. It's a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, working closely across teams.
What You'll Own:
Marketing & Brand Storytelling
- Full-funnel marketing strategy and annual marketing calendar — campaigns, product launches, and promotional cadence, all rooted in a cohesive brand narrative
- Brand identity and voice across every channel — content, social, influencer, and PR/partnerships — in collaboration with the creative team
- Performance marketing across Meta, Google, Affiliate, SMS, and Email, including budgets and media efficiency (ROAS, MER, CAC, LTV) — creative that converts without compromising the brand
- Email/SMS strategy, customer segmentation, and lifecycle marketing that deepens the customer's relationship with Miaou over time
- Customer acquisition and retention targets
E-Commerce
- Annual DTC revenue, contribution margin, and customer growth targets
- Site experience and customer journey — the site as an extension of the brand story, with a focus on conversion rate, AOV, and retention
- Site merchandising aligned to marketing campaigns and launches
- Forecasting, inventory alignment, and promotional planning
Team & Operations
- Daily, weekly, and monthly KPI analysis with actionable recommendations
- Agency, freelancer, and technology vendor relationships
- Building and mentoring a high-performing marketing and e-commerce team
Success Metrics
Revenue growth, contribution margin, CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, AOV, LTV, retention rate, and brand growth (audience, engagement, earned media).
What You Bring
- 7+ years in marketing, e-commerce, or growth leadership at a fashion or consumer brand
- A storyteller's instinct — you've shaped brand narratives that people remember, and you can point to the results
- Proven track record building brands and scaling DTC businesses
- Fluency across both brand and performance marketing — equally comfortable in a creative review and a ROAS report
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Deep knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, CRM, and paid media platforms
- Experience leading teams and managing external agencies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Retail industry experience preferred
Reporting
Reports to Founder & Creative Director.
- Direct reports: E-Commerce Manager, Performance Marketing Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and Customer Experience team. Also oversees external agencies, freelancers, and technology/analytics partners.
