Position Summary

As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing various marketing initiatives, including events, content production, and market research. Your role will involve developing timelines, managing project documentation, and monitoring g budgets to ensure efficient project completion. You will serve as the point of contact for all project-related activities, facilitating communication between cross-functional teams and external partners. Your keen attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring smooth project execution, meeting deadlines, and resolving any issues that may arise along the way.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and execute major marketing initiatives such as events, content production, market research, consumer insights, etc.

Developing timelines and milestones for project completion and monitoring progress toward targets

Managing and updating project documentation such as work plans, budgets, schedules, and status reports and project recaps

Prepare for meetings by identifying rooms onsite or virtually, composing materials and creating presentations

Take meeting minutes and create agendas and action plans for follow-up

Gather and oversee the compilation and management of comprehensive reports, as needed

Research issues, analyze problems and determine appropriate course of action

Enhance departmental processes, policies and procedures

Coordinating with outside vendors as needed to ensure that all logistics, products and equipment are available when needed

Find and outsource freelancers, production companies to help execute the initiatives, be the liaison between third party partners and internal team members

Provide updates on budgets and projected expenses for internal team and external agencies, ensuring accurate management and reporting, as needed

Manage financial transactions and expenditures by overseeing payment processes, meticulously processing invoices and conducting thorough verification to ensure accurate and controlled expenses, as needed

Communicate with parties involved on any delays, issues and help problem solve

Ensure we are meeting deadlines and escalate issues when they arise

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred

5+ years related marketing experience with in-house beauty, agency, and/or project background in the beauty space

Experience in cosmetics highly preferred

Proven track record of managing successful events, preferably fashion, lifestyle and beauty events
