As a dedicated salon specializing in natural hairstyles, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and empowering environment for both our stylists and clients. We hold a three-month training program for anyone who we feel fits our team culture and is willing to learn. Hours increase in correlation with the completion of assigned training regiment. At the completion of the probationary period, stylist will be paid a sign-on bonus dependent upon attendance, performance and conduct throughout your probationary period.
Duties:
Quickly responds to customer concerns about hair styling
Styles, cuts, curls, or dyes hair per customer’s request
Helps foster and maintain a relaxed and positive salon atmosphere
Attends trainings and informative programs
Keeps tools and workstation clean
Maintains a professional and friendly customer approach
Leads team training sessions
Qualifications:
Must be able to timely and proficiently perform 7+ textured styles (i.e. knotless braids, Marley twists, two strand twists, loc grooming, curly cuts, or microlocs), averaging 5+ clients daily
Must be able to work on a team: Without TEAMWORK, this team doesn’t work!
Willing to seek growth: to supplement existing knowledge with additional knowledge of natural hair care.
Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Zoom, and other technology.
Must be punctual, have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, able to embrace challenges and seeking a career in the hair industry.
Have a passion for people and their individual stories
Preferred Qualifications:
Have at least 5+ years of extensive salon experience
At least 7 years of experience as a hair stylist.
Has 2+ leadership/managerial experience
This position is for anyone who has been in the textured hair industry and is looking for stability and an encouraging team environment. Our marketing team focuses on bringing you clients, our client concierge handles all your clients on-boarding and our stylists get to focus on styling. We hold in-house classes and pay for stylists to take external classes from other leaders in our industry, even if that means traveling outside of our state.

Phone interview : This is a surprise interview, we will not warn you about this call. It is set up for us to get to talk to you quickly to see if we can set up a five minute zoom interview.
5-minute zoom interview: This is a brief interview with HR to set you apart from all the other applicants to see if we can move you forward to a panel interview with other stylists on the team.
10-minute zoom panel interview: This panel interview is set up to meet a minimum of two people on the team. It’s an open forum for them to ask you questions and for you to ask them questions
In-person styling stage: This is an in-salon visit for us to see you in our environment and get to see you interacting with clients while styling hair.
Background check: This is in place and designed to protect our team and clients alike.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 26 per week
