We are seeking a full-time Merchandise Allocator to support stock flow and trading performance. Reporting to the Merchandise Planner, this hands-on role focuses on replenishment, allocation, supplier coordination, and trade analysis to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.
Location: Cheltenham & Melbourne CBD
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, full-time (office-based)
Key Responsibilities
Stock & Replenishment
- Manage daily and weekly replenishment across stores
- Monitor stock levels and sell-through, identifying gaps in best sellers
- Allocate incoming stock to maximise sales opportunities
Stock Management, Re-orders & Supplier Management
- Raise and manage all purchase orders directly with suppliers
- Follow up with suppliers on shipping timelines and delays
- Review best sellers and support re-order decisions
- Provide size splits and forecasts
- Maintain strong availability in core lines and key sizes
Planning, Trade & Sales Analysis
- Conduct seasonal and in-season sales analysis by stores
- Review weekly sales by store, category, and brand
- Identify risks and opportunities to support sell-through targets
- Assist with forecasting and Open to Buy (OTB) planning
- Support post-season analysis, including SWOT reviews to identify key learnings and opportunities
Promotions, Trade Calendar & Pricing
- Maintain and update the trade calendar with incoming stock and ensure all promotions are accurately entered into the system
- Set up promotions and campaigns in the system
- Upload and manage markdowns in line with trading strategy
- Ensure pricing accuracy across all channels
Warehouse & Logistics
- Coordinate inbound stock and delivery timelines
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics partners
- Monitor freight and identify efficiencies where possible
Cross-functional Support
- Work with Ecommerce, VM, Operations, and Production teams
- Ensure stock is aligned to launches, campaigns, and promotions
- Support seasonal drops and new product rollout
- Assist with stocktake preparation and execution

- Previous experience in planning or allocation required (menswear highly regarded)
