One of the top Textile Firms in NYC, that manufactures Fabrics for Home Accessories is looking for a Merchandising Coordinator. It is an onsite position working 5 days a week in the office. This position will deal with internal and external people and will liaise with outside vendor (production company) to ensure that all of the releases, covers, design/printing and fabric cards are perfect, up-to date and ready to share with the marketplace. You will be creating layouts, of new assortments for sell sheets, boards, headers and will assist in communicating with Sample Companies to approve all that is needed. This firm is involved with both Domestic and International Trade shows and their fabric designs are works of art. We need someone who is highly organized and self-motivated. Must be able to work on a Mac, Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, illustrator and Photoshop is a must. They use MOD2, which is feature-software designed for textile and home furnishing industries. This role is computer based and you will deal with all of the departments. We are looking for a person that is interested in joining a wonderful firm, with wonderful people. Must have excellent verbal, written skills and excellent technical skills. In addition, this candidate must be enthusiastic, with an excellent eye for detail. Someone with a flexible attitude is a must. A 4 year College Degree with an interest in a creative industry. We are open to both an an entry level person with all of the skills and internships or a more experienced person with the skills and experience in the industry.
