Our client, a global advanced contemporary women’s RTW brand is hiring for their US Merchandising Manager, who will be located in New York City.
The US Merchandising Manager is responsible for driving regional merchandising strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and brand positioning across US markets. This role ensures the right product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels to meet local consumer demand while aligning with global brand strategies.
Merchandising Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute the merchandising strategy for the US region, ensuring alignment with global brand objectives and local market needs.
Curate product assortments that balance global brand direction with regional consumer preferences.
Define pricing and promotional strategies in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Conduct seasonal assortment planning, ensuring the right product mix by country and channel.
Sales & Performance Optimization
Analyze sales data, consumer insights, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and optimize product selections.
Work closely with retail, e-commerce, and wholesale teams to drive revenue and margin goals.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the supply chain to ensure product availability and minimize stock issues.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with design, buying, and global merchandising teams to provide regional feedback and influence product development.
Work with marketing and visual merchandising teams to ensure compelling in-store and online presentations.
Support key retail partners and wholesale accounts with tailored assortments and product strategies.
Market Analysis & Competitor Insights
Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform merchandising decisions.
Conduct regular market visits and liaise with regional teams to gather on-the-ground insights.
Professional Qualifications
5+ years of merchandising experience, preferably within fashion, retail, beauty, or lifestyle brands.
Strong analytical skills with experience using Power BI, Salesforce, or other merchandising tools.
Ability to manage complex product assortments across multiple markets.
Experience presenting to senior leadership, including cross-functional executives.
Strong project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
A hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work independently with minimal support in a lean team structure.
